Thompson thought he was done

Scott Thompson from the kangaroos, thought the Roos weren’t going to give him a contract for 2018.

He is 31 years old.

He had a decent season finishing 9th in the Roos best and fairest.

The reason for this was that a month after the season had ended North Melbourne had still not offered him another contract.

He also knew that the Kangaroos are in a rebuilding time.

His ex teammates such as Brent Harvey, Drew Petrie, Michael Firrito and Nick Dal Santo were delisted a year before.

He says even if North were to delist him he would retire even though other clubs had shown interest in him, he wanted to be a one club player.

But Thompson says next year won’t necessarily be his last season.
